DIY: Front Wheel / hub install

I hit a curb and the passenger wheel started to make an odd noise around 40-60mph. It was and hard to pin point but since I hit the passenger side front on a curb, I suspected that was the of this noise.

After research, I found out that my bearing/hub was the most likely

I jacked up the car and tried pulling the at the 12 6 o’clock positions but the tire did not

After removing the tire and the calipers, I could move my in/out about 1/4 of an inch. removing the wheel bearing/hub, I it had the 1/4 play.

So, when I was rolling, I it was intermittently hitting the brake causing this humming/moaning

Nevertheless, if you suspect that wheel bearing/hub may be bad, in to the 12 6 o’clock pull test, try removing the brake calipers and see if the can be moved in/out. It should no play at all.

I picked up a wheel bearing/hub assembly DBC Performance for about $85 shipped. though the picture shows an bolt, they do not include an bolt so order one. I they sell the 12 point bolt.

Ok, on to the DIY.
