I need advice please.

I slid a kerb two weeks ago when it had in theUK and froze into ice, it was treacherous. I slid a kerb at 5mph (nomore) and my driver’s side wheel in the UK), tyre needed it had bent the suspension arm underneath the side – which neededto be All the work was carried out by a local shop who arereputable.

About Ѕ mile from the the tyre pressure gauge I thought, this is what is it to pull to one side. So Iheaded for the local garage to check the pressures. I put in 2.3bar (33 psi) as in the fuel filler flap. But they wereall within 1-3 psi of other. So I topped them up to 33 psi and set But could still feel it to the right hand side.

So I headed back to the body to complain. The mechanicwho had repaired the car to see me and told me he had driven it thatmorning and it was fine, at which I disagreed. We took the car for adrive together, upon a straight piece of he also noticed that was very slightly pulling to the side. He commented that it due to one new suspension arm having new bushes and the side beingoriginal. We headed to the garage and they lifted the car on the Apry bar was then used to around the suspension arm looking for inthe left hand suspension arm. The right NEW mount had zero play, was a slight amount of play but I would consider as being orneed replacing in the older hand suspension arm (original – beenreplaced to my knowledge).

Because the tyre had been it had been replaced withthe brand, same size on the front driver’s side and I ifthe wheel had been for roundness. To discount this the equation Iasked them to the tyres fromfront to back 4 wheels and tyres had been to 18” only 4 monthsago so they are not

The mechanic was 100% confident replacing the left handsuspension arm would cure the slight to the right hand side, this wouldn’t be covered by the since this component by the accident. My argument was of course, to the accidentthe car drive perfectly with no misalignment therefore my car repaired to a state returning it to its condition.

My question to this is:-

If as in my case I have the right hand side arm with a new component (including and ball joint) but theleft side has not been renewed this cause my car to pull to hand side?

I am not saying that the mechanic is but I am notconvinced a minimal amount of in the left hand side arm couldcause the car to pull to the right driving.

What are your please about how worn canaffect the car pulling to one side?

point – the body shop quoted me Ј95 for a completenew lower hand arm + a cost yet to be confirmed for alignment (Ithink they 4 wheel alignment here)… money I’d like to spendfollowing but if it needs to be done then I get it done – butshouldn’t the insurance pay for this?
