The Old-School review, the Mk2 Volkswagen GTI 8V

Regular readers will how I lament about modern cars. In a way, they are too so to get any sort of driving feel or you have to drive way too fast, usually ends up with the of your license and several in jail.

It was so good in the torque that it actually bested the Mk2 GTI G60, and that car offered with a compressor! Dare I say it, you the 8V like a diesel…. The Mk2 was the perfect GT car in the day. (I used mine as a tourer in fact).

As a car you would use day, it was then much than the original. It felt and efficient. More German in a I loved mine for that, and drove for hours straight the slightest hassle.

Braking was not efficient on the other hand. it was an improvement on the original, with all around, however it still was a of brake and pray you stop in Thankfully there is no ABS, so it is up to you to the pedal input. Golfs never been a great in this area, along the fr ont headlights.

Inside, you had all the creature comforts you need, such as electric (that worked most of the power steering, a huge and space for five passengers. The seats offered good and where firm enough. You easily drive hours on end and not tired or in pain. The traditional fabric was present, to add a touch of in an otherwise grey interior.
